Performance improvements in CRM 2013 compare to 2011

Easy Dashboard Controlling

In Dynamics CRM 2011, we are not able to control who can see certain system dashboards based on the user’s security role, and can only control who sees what dashboard through personal dashboard by sharing.
But In Dynamics CRM 2013, system dashboard can control by security role and can be visible based on the user’s security role.

Incident (case) entities can be merged

An incident (case) is a customer service issue, which is a problem that is defined by a customer and the collection of activities that occur in the case to resolve the problem.

This feature will help to merge the related records with incident.

Incident (case) hierarchies

In CRM 2013 we can create hierarchies for incidents with child incidents.

State model transitions

For the Incident (Case) entity and custom entities we can define custom status transitions that provide additional conditions over the default mapping between State and Status attributes for an entity.

Create packages for the Package Deploy tool

In CRM 2013, Package Deployer is a new tool that enables administrators to deploy packages on Microsoft Dynamics CRM (on-premises) instances.

This package tool will help to deploy many changes into CRM server at one time.

New types of calendars

The calendar entity has a new Type pick list attribute to define different types of calendars to support both service scheduling calendars and new calendars to support customer service capabilities.

Enhancements to queues

In CRM 2013, The Queue entity has a new QueueViewType pick list attribute to define queues as either public or private. Private queues are visible only to the owner of the queue and to any other users or teams added as members to the queue. Public queues are visible by everyone. While we can still share and assign queues, the recommended way to control access to queues.

Discover the OAuth endpoint

The organization web service endpoint has been enhanced in CRM 2013 with the addition of an authority discovery feature. This enables custom code to determine the authorization endpoint URL at run time instead of using a hardcoded URL value that could change in a future release.

Query String parameter to control navigation bar or command bar

New enhanced query string parameter settings implemented on navigation bar to control the navigation effectively.

Data encryption

Field level data encryption provides higher security for sensitive data, for example passwords stored in an entity record of CRM.

Asynchronous solution import

This enables improved interactivity for users that are working in an organization during the same time that a solution is being imported. Application down time is not required for solution import changes.

New and updated privileges

To enhance the security of application, many new security privileges added in CRM 2013 version.
